Saab Key Programming
Saab cars made since 1994 have an immobilizer feature based on coded keys. A new transponder is required for the inclusion of an additional key, and special programming. This is usually done by the dealer using a special Tech2 diagnostic tool.
This can be expensive. This is why it is important to always keep a spare key in your possession.
Transponder key
The transponder can be described as a key that has an electronic chip. The chip transmits a signal when the key is inserted in the ignition. The car checks to see whether the signal matches the one on the key. If the signals match, the car will unlock itself and start. This is a great way to prevent auto theft and keep your car secure from thieves.

The next step is to connect the row and column wires to the microcontroller. This is the toughest part of the project and will require lots of soldering. There is no standard method to accomplish this, however it is important to think about the way you'll route and solder the rows and columns. For this keyboard, there are five rows and 17 columns. So there will be 22 microcontroller wires and pins that you need to connect.
After the columns and rows are soldered, it's the time to connect them to the key switches. Solder a diode on each key switch pin. The tools plug into OBD ports and help the customer through each step making the process simpler than replacing the car's computer.
Jump-starting the battery
Most people keep a few sets of jumper cables in their trunk to use in an emergency however, jumping a battery on newer vehicles might not be the best choice. saab 9-3 key replacement have many computers and digital devices that communicate with one another.
