Saab Key Programming
Saab cars made since 1994 have an immobilizer feature based on coded keys. A new transponder is required for the inclusion of an additional key, and special programming. This is usually done by the dealer using a special Tech2 diagnostic tool.
This can be expensive. This is why it is important to always keep a spare key in your possession.
Transponder key
The transponder can be described as a key that has an electronic chip. The chip transmits a signal when the key is inserted in the ignition. The car checks to see whether the signal matches the one on the key. If the signals match, the car will unlock itself and start. Jump-starting the battery
